Le Creuset
Grand, 1925. In the foundry of Armand Desaegher and Octave Aubecq, two forward-looking Belgian industrialists, the story of Le Creuset vitrified cast iron tools begins. After several experiments, the two founders decide to create a colorful pot that can inspire anyone to cook with joy and passion. A winning choice that led them to differentiate themselves from the rest of the market and be recognized as the company that brings conviviality to the kitchen and to the table. After the first Cocotte, Le Creuset develops lines of unique utensils that meet the ever-changing needs of those who cook and live at home. Spanning the most important decades of modern history, Le Creuset has collaborated with internationally renowned designers such as the Italian Enzo Mari and the French-American Raymond Loewy. And today? Le Creuset is a global company that offers a complete collection of high-quality kitchen accessories with a nod to the most modern design and lifestyle trends. All without forgetting the ingredients that have made it famous: passion, quality and originality
Each cast iron model is still produced in the Fresnoy-le-Grand factory. Since some steps are still based on manual and artisan skills, each piece is unique and characterized by its own identity. From a cauldron called Creuset, liquid cast iron is poured into sand molds which are subsequently broken to pass to the triple vitrification phase at high temperature over the entire surface. The initial vitrification guarantees long life and resistance to thermal shock, the subsequent vitrifications give a finish with bright colors.
