Yaxell professional knife series
Yaxell RAN
The blades of the professional damask steel knives of the RAN series are composed of 69 layers of damask steel, with the central layer in VG10 with a hardness rockwell of 60-61 HRC. Each knife is a unique specimen: it is sharpened by hand and processed in five processing cycles. The handles are in linen-micarta, an indestructible material which, unlike pakka wood, does not shrink.
Yaxell GOU 101 and Super GOU 161 series
The blade of the GOU 101 series and the Super GOU 161 series is provided with extremely effective razor sharpening. The central core is made of sintered stainless steel of Japanese production, SG2 Micro Carbide, covered with 101 layers of variable stiffness stainless steel (161 for the Super GOU series). This high carbon material is exceptional hardness. Sintered steel is preferred as it guarantees high parameters of purity and resistance. The blade thus obtained is extremely hard and guarantees an exceptionally effective edge. Its surface is enriched by a very pleasant damask chisel confirming the high quality level marked by the acronym GOU 101 or Super GOU 161.
Yaxell Super GOU Ypsilon
Created as an elevated model of the Super GOU model with 161 layers, the knife has a sintered stainless steel central core of Japanese production, SG2 Micro carbide. The blade (63 Rockwell hardness) is covered with 193 layers and is completed by an elegant black handle in Canvas-Micarta material with the inlaid samurai family crest. Exceptionally beautiful and perfectly crafted, Yaxell Super GOU Ypsilon offers exceptional performance and is a pleasure to use. Four Japanese characters are engraved on the blade which mean "Super GOU, the spirit of the samurai". Ypsilon - the name of the new model - derives from the letter "Y" in German. Y represents the Yaxell logo. Supplied with a Katana wooden sheath.
