Did you know that the word “casserole” does it come from the French casserole, which in turn comes from the Provençal term cassa, i.e. the dish that could be put in the oven? In fact, even today the casserole retains its original function since, by definition, it is; made of materials with high heat conduction which heat the dishes evenly.
