Description
The Traditional Line is a hand hammered tinned copper line, suitable for everyday use.
The CU Artigiana was born in 1983, but already with a deep experience in the field of copper and brass working. The company draws its experience from the traditional culture of the geographical area in which it is located. It is precisely in Sant'Anastasia that the master coppersmiths have been carrying out the art of working copper with unchanged skill for centuries. Our company carries on this artisan tradition, keeping the production processes unchanged. Specialized in the production of gift items and furnishings. The copper cookware is of exceptional quality and refinement, for culinary use, this is entirely hand-beaten, carefully tin-plated, characteristics that make it an indispensable utensil for all those interested in haute cuisine.
In the age of automation, in which we live, only a strong passion can lead you to a totally manual production choice. Passion, art and tradition come together to create a unique and precious object: the copper pot. Each of its details is the result of careful processing, rigorously carried out by hand by the master coppersmiths. The choice of material is made with the selection of accredited supplier companies, only first choice material is chosen. Copper is pure copper with the right physical qualities for perfect shaping. Brass for the handles, only first choice ingots for artisanal casting. The tin, only 100% pure virgin tin for food use, in compliance with the international regulations in force, and an analysis certificate is required for each supply.
The shaping, for small production items, is done by hand on iron poles, with wooden mallets and hammers. The manual lathe is used for mass production. The hammering is done by hand on iron poles with special hammers. Each shape requires a specific shape of post and hammer. This process, in addition to the aesthetic embellishment, gives the copper a molecular hardening, for greater resistance to use.
