Material characteristics

Some good and useful tips of cooking tools made of aluminum with purity above 99%:

  • Before using for the first time, carefully clean the pans, rinse with boiling water and dry. Then grease the inside and outside with a little oil or butter and leave to rest for one night.
  • Food cooks better and retains more flavor over moderate heat, precisely because 99.5% Extra pure aluminum pans have high thermal conductivity, you NEVER need to use high flames.
  • Avoid overheating: never heat the empty pot over a high or low heat.
  • Do not wash aluminum cookware with a purity greater than 99% in the dishwasher.
  • Contact with the pan when it is hot is dangerous.
  • Strongly acidic foods (for example marinades, pickles and tomatoes) can be perfectly cooked in aluminum containers with a purity higher than 99%.
  • Strongly acidic foods (e.g. marinades, pickles, tomatoes) cannot be stored in aluminum containers.
  • Do not use to store food "out of a refrigerated environment for more than 24 hours".
  • Add the salt only during the boiling to favor its dissolution and prevent it from attacking the metal.
  • The dark patina that forms inside aluminum pans with a purity of over 99% is due to the oxidation of the metal: a real inert protective barrier that must not be removed. To keep the pans shiny, use specific products.
