Description
Bon Appetit line glass lid, diam.16cm
Made of cast aluminium, coated with high resistance non-stick coating (Dupont quality Platinum), the “Bon Appetit” series is also characterized by the wide profiles and high thicknesses of the material.
Serafino Zani, attentive to the needs of modern kitchens, which increasingly use induction for hobs, with this line has introduced an important technical improvement in aluminum fire pieces: all "Bon Appetit" fire pieces are in fact equipped with a special steel bottom that allows their use on all heat sources, including induction.
The production, made by hand, is achieved through gravity casting. The aluminum melted in the crucible is taken with a "cup" and poured into the pair of molds that have the shape of the objects inside.
Once the mold has cooled, the product is opened and removed. Then begins the entire production process of turning - which must perfectly follow the design of the object -, the application of the primer necessary for the four heat sources (gas, electricity, glass-ceramic, induction), the application of the non-stick , the assembly of the handles, the final test.
The handles of saucepans and saucepans, and the long handles of other fire items have been designed to make gripping easier, thanks to their large size and ergonomic shape. The long handles are made of bakelite: their particular shape prevents the hand from getting too close to the aluminum part, helping not to burn yourself.
