Description
Staub: the best option for your cast iron cocottes
Staub was born in 1974 in Alsace, a region of France rich in history and with a renowned gastronomic tradition. The company's products are now appreciated by chefs all over the world and, in just over 40 years of history, Staub has become the reference brand in France and in the world for cooking with cast iron utensils.
Each product is the result of a manufacturing process still marked according to the dogmas of tradition. Furthermore, each piece is completely unique, being cast in a form of silica sand which is then destroyed. Attention to tradition has not, however, prevented Staub from vigorously innovating cooking methods in cast iron. The lids designed by Staub , for example, are designed with small hemispheres which facilitate the recycling of the water evaporated during cooking which does not come out of the cocotte keeping all the aromas inside and is redistributed equally over the whole dish.
5 great reasons to choose Staub cast iron:
- A cuisine of well-being and pleasure: the meat remains tender, the vegetables soft... In Staub cocottes, the aromas and flavors develop all their intensity and the nutritional qualities are preserved to the maximum.
- The secrets of the Staub lid: the Staub flat lid has been designed to hermetically seal the cocotte, creating a ""rain effect"" inside the cast iron which allows food to remain tender and retain an intense flavour. The rain effect of Staub lids, which can be enhanced by using ice cubes on the lid, distributes humidity evenly as opposed to competitors who release humidity near the edges of the pot.
- The advantages of enamelled cast iron: cast iron is one of the best able to retain heat, spreading it slowly and distributing it in a completely homogeneous way. When cast iron is hot, its heat retention properties allow you to turn the heat down to a minimum, for simmering with minimal energy consumption.
- Rough verified internal enamel: the multilayer enamel consists mainly of glass and guarantees an extremely resistant and particularly long-lasting surface.
- Fascinating colors of cast iron: thanks to the traditional manufacturing process of cast iron and the subsequent enamelling obtained with innovative techniques, fascinating colors are obtained that allow you to move elegantly from the kitchen to the table.
